Tillandsia oaxacana grows as epiphyte in lower altitudes of Central America and Mexico. Its leaves are soft and silvery, covered with visible trichomes. When in bloom, T. oaxacana produces a giant watermelon-pink to coral-pink flower with the form of a pointed cylinder. It likes to be exposed to indirect but bright light.
